Where do you deliver?

We deliver to homes, businesses, and hotels in the Santa Barbara area.

Most deliveries require a $50 minimum orderWe can always ship a gift that doesn't meet these minimums.

In cases where the gift presentation or safe and timely arrival of an order is essential, we can also offer hand delivery of larger orders to communities north of LA, including Ventura, Camarillo, Moorpark. Simi Valley, Calabasas, Malibu for $100. Contact us for delivery fees to other communities. 

When will my gift be delivered?

We deliver within 2 days or on the date you request on the cart page. Some Carpinteria or more distant deliveries may require more lead time. Feel free to check with us. 

What happens if my recipient isn't home?

If your recipient isn't home, our delivery person will use their best judgment if it's appropriate and secure to leave the gift. We can never leave a wine gift, since gifts with wine require a signature of an adult 21+. Please provide an address where you expect someone will be present during delivery hours.

In some cases where the delivery location is far from our headquarters, especially if your gift contains wine, we may call your recipient to let them know we have a special delivery and ask if they will be home during our delivery window. 

We can often accommodate same day delivery, but we recommend calling and speaking with someone to receive confirmation.

Can I include a gift note?

Yes! When you click the "Cart" icon and scroll down, just above the "Checkout" button there is a field where you can tell us what you would like your note to say AND provide us with the desired delivery date. Your note will be handwritten on our house stationery or you can select a special greeting card.  

If you forget and/or are unable to locate the right field, feel free to email us the information at info@santabarbaracompany.com or just reply to your email receipt. 

I am delivering a gift to a hotel. How does this work?

If you are ordering gifts for a group or a special event, you probably have a contact at the hotel. We can deliver gifts to their care so they can ensure that you or your guests receive the gifts on time. Just provide us with their name. We can also coordinate delivery directly with an onsite planner. 

If you are sending one gift to a guest at a hotel, we will drop the gift at the hotel front desk so that they can either deliver it to the recipient's room or alert the guest that the gift is being held at the front desk.

Some hotels won't accept a gift unless they can locate the correct room number (so you'll need to know the name the room has been booked under). Other hotels won't verify that they have a guest staying with them for privacy reasons. You may wish to call the hotel to let them know you have a gift being delivered and to find out their policies. We are happy to work with your needs and their policies. 

What happens if my order is undeliverable and I decide to cancel the order?

We will refund your order minus a $20 fee to cover the time and cost of assembly and the local delivery charge (if delivery has been attempted).
