New to the Shop! Margerum and Foxen Wines
We are thrilled to introduce Margerum and Foxen Wines to The Santa Barbara Company shop!
Margerum Sybarite. A Sauvignon Blanc served at a White House State Dinner last year!
Margerum M5. A lovely crowd-pleasing Rhone blend with a convenient screwcap.
Riviera Rosé, a perfectly sophisticated Santa Barbara County dry rosé crafted from G
renache and Syrah grapes.
Foxen produces some of the most outstanding wines in Santa Barbara County. Their wines are
very small-production, vineyard-designated wines crafted with a minimalist approach. The winery is now solar powered.
This is a homecoming of sorts for Nancy who started out in the Santa Barbara wine business in 1987 with Pearson and Hawkins and later as owner of Westport, an exporter of Santa Barbara County wines abroad.
"These were early days for wine production in our county and we pretty much all knew each other - such a fun and exciting time." Nancy has known the Foxen owners Dick Dore and Bill Wathen as well as Doug Margerum of Margerum Wine Company for 30 years.
